Southern Places donates fabric yearly to the Quilting Ministry at Columbia’s Incarnation Lutheran Church. Lead by Betty Wilds, a group of 5 to 6 women bring to life the designs of Dorothy Ropp.

So far this year, the Quilting Ministry has completed 116 quilts and is working on their second shipment. These quilts are sent to the Lutheran World Relief in Maryland and then distributed as tangible signs of caring to people in need around the world. 

In the past, quilts have been distributed mainly overseas, but with recent domestic disasters such as Hurricane Katrina and Rita, the LWR has expanded their efforts to include victims closer to home.  Southern Places is proud to support these efforts to spread warmth and love to those in need.
